Mardi Gras colors and fabrics are hard to resist and the more the better in the French Quarter.  This domed black nylon hat is covered in purple lame' fabric.  A multi-colored party mask looks outward in front.  Atop the back sits the Beautiful Bayou Baby, wearing a purple lame' hoop gown, gathered in the back.  Arising from the top is a cluster of gold ting ting strung with beads from an actual Mardi Gras float.  Behind the mask has a vintage gold chain hanging on each side, eyes from a child's stuffed animal and the "third-eye" is a vintage broach.
