Inspired by the Red Hat Ladies, I created this piece in their traditional colors of purple and red. The porcelain delicate doll sits atop the hat, with her spindly legs hang toward the front, and her arms, with red painted fingernails, rest at her side. She wears charm pins, and the rear has hand beaded strands with gold charms. Red Ostrich feathers and red tassels surround the brim.
