Mardi Gras should be celebrated all year long - its just too much fun!   I started with a black mini hat, and added gold trim from an old ladies dress.  The main theme of the hat comes from gold lame which came from an old evening clutch purse, and the porcelain mardi gras mask faces backward to keep an eye out for you.  he red "ruby" stone came from a vintage broach.  Dangling from brim are gold coin charms.  Atop the mask are wired cloth bird feathers from a mardi gras centerpiece.
